This year has been a year of waiting, wondering, and hoping. One of my hopeful releases for new movies was “John Wick 4”. I was pretty excited and thought maybe it would stay on track for it’s release date of May 21, 2021 but alas, that has been pushed back as well. It will be bumped to the new spot of May 27, 2022 a little over a year later. Like many other movies this year, Warner Bros has pushed quite a few releases of the docket. Marvel has done the same. We are used to seeing at least two awesome Marvel movies a year for seven years.

Bummer, the good news for John Wick lovers is that it is being bumped for an even bigger, more anticipated film…The Matrix 4.

The Matrix 4 is scheduled for release on literally the same date as John Wick 4 May 21, 2021. Streaming is going crazy right now jumping to record watching level and I just hope that these two huge releases will bring people back to the theaters that the coronavirus shut down in March. With the way streaming is going now people are going to be used to getting premium quality films right in the comfort of their home.

For The Matrix 4 it’s been a little bit of a journey to get the producing rights issue worked out. Keanu Reeves and Carrie Ann Moss will be coming back to reprise their roles, however, it won’t be in the same manner we used to seeing them. There is no hint of a plot yet but it shouldn’t be long before we have an idea what this will be. With Lana Wachowski directing it will be a thriller.

On the other side of this is Keanu Reeves. He has made his comeback to top box office presence known with the John Wick Trilogy and now adding a fourth movie. It’s surprising that Wick is still alive but it plays well with Keanu’s movie prowess. At any rate it will be a big hit and we are hoping for some box office charm.
