Splendid, and unique(just like all Anderson films). This delightfully well formed adulation to The New Yorker and its gifted scholars might be too mentally stimulating and distracting for the normal watcher. Indeed, even the characters names are interesting, provided you catch any of them through all the verbal delightful-ness. Watching this film resembles speed reading a Tolkien novel, so go into the film knowing it’ll be significantly more enjoyable to return for a couple more views.
The film itself, is a portrayal of three vignettes, is Anderson’s amazing take and tribute to journalism. With a stellar cast of eccentric actors, incredible cinematography, inventive outlining and structure, fabulous banter exchange and a huge load of idiosyncratic personalities, Anderson fans will adore the film. The French Dispatch (2021): Taken from a mid-twentieth century American diary in Ennui-sur-Blase, France. Particular look, eccentric stories, idiosyncratic acting. Pressed loaded with top-level entertainers. If you love Wes Anderson you’ll love this. However, others may leave theater scratching their heads.
Classic Wes Anderson!
