Iceland 10th Century

The film is set in Iceland during the 10th century and follows Amleth, a viking prince played by Skarsgard, who seeks vengeance when his father, King Horvendill (Hawke), is assassinated. An intruder named Fjölnir (Claes Bang) and his viking army execute Amleth’s father by shooting him with arrows.Amleth swears to avenge his father, save his mother Queen Gudrun (Nicole Kidman), and destroy Fjölnir, which he repeats to himself as he grows older and raises his own army.

Taylor-Joy, who claims she can break men’s minds, joins a menacing and buff Skarsgard. Skarsgard leaps from a wall to assault a man on horseback, catches a spear in mid-air and hurls it back at the opponent, and there’s plenty of stabbing and witchcraft in the gloomy, action-packed trailer.

Dafoe plays Heimir the Fool, Björk plays a witch, Murry McArthur, Ian Gerard Whyte, and other “Game of Thrones” alumni, notably Hafór Jlus Björnsson, who played the enormous Mountain on HBO’s series, Kate Dickie, and Ralph Ineson, are among the cast members.
